So obviously the tagline of my blog is “talk sh*t, make smoothies”. That wasn’t just a funny line. Smoothies happen to be one of my favorite sources of sustenance. We as black folks should probably incorporate more of them into our daily lives because when packed with healthy stuff, they’re a good way to get a ton of nutrients and serve as a meal replacement. Which, can help offset some of these bad cooking/eating habits we have. Look, I’m not begging you to be a vegan or anything.

So, in accordance with the tagline, and since I’ve talked quite enough sh*t at this point, I teamed up with the good folks at The Juicebox Squad to give me the goods on some of their favorite smoothie recipes. Without further ado, Mango Lush Smoothie:

1 cup of frozen mango chunks
2 tablespoons of ginger
I mint leaf
6 oz of coconut water
1 tablespoon of agave syrup
Place all frozen mango in a blender.
Add ginger, mint, and agave.
Add coconut water and blend for 1-2 minutes.
Enjoy!
This smoothie is an electric foods smoothie. If you’re not up on electric foods, look up Dr.Sebi. It will change your life. All the ingredients promote optimal nutrition and the taste is delicious and refreshing.

Enjoy!
